We are uniquely trained to diagnose and resolve pain. Dr. Pam Paetzhold was trained by many of the best applied kinesiology doctors in America, including; Dr. Alan Beardall, Dr. John Brimhall, Dr. Gary Klepper, Dr. Sanlo Pulleyah and Dr. Marshall and she has passed this training to Dr. Max.

Combining traditional structural exams with motion palpation (is the joint moving in an ideal way?) muscle response testing (a strong muscle will temporarily lose strength when a problem area is stimulated and go back to strength when we find the exact direction to correct it), rehab (specific exercises to strengthen the weak muscles only so they are in balance with the stronger muscles) means we get to the underlying cause of your pain.

If comprehensive structural correction doesn’t resolve your pain, we look deeper for a root cause. Do you have an organ imbalance that is causing pain or irritating a muscle? If so, we must treat the organ distress. Do you have an old emotional memory that is affecting a part of your body? This will continually upset that body part until the emotional memory in the brain is reset. Have you had an extended period of misuse of a body part (you were bedridden, or you had a fracture and had to wear a boot – affecting not only your leg, but your whole spine?)

Do you have TMJ pain? That could be due to imbalance in the spine or your cranial bones. The TMJ joint has a disc which can be out of balance from the muscles that pull on the disc. Have you had problems since you had a new dental crown put on? We can check the balance of your bite after we adjust you to check if you have a bite problem. If you do, we send you to your dentist to get it fixed.

Do you have one or more old root canal treated teeth? It is difficult to completely sterilize the root because there are multiple small side canals (canaliculi) which can harbor bacteria. These critters are isolated from your immune system, so they slowly grow. These are some of the more toxic bacteria we can be exposed to and can be the cause of multiple diseases, including cancer.

I had a root canal when I was in my 20s, then 10 years later I was teaching English in Iran and woke up with my whole face swollen. Fortunately one of my students was a dental student and sent me to a dentist. I had so much swelling that they could not get me numb. So I had it pulled without being numb. Memorable experience! But having that source of infection in my head would have gone to my brain had I left the tooth in.

Carpel tunnel syndrome is pain in the wrist and/or hand. Medically they do surgery. We analyze if the problem is in the wrist (the bones could be too close together or too far apart, irritating the carpel nerve). Or you can have the source be the nerve roots in the neck, shoulder, elbow or even the hand. This usually resolves when adjusting all the right places and sometimes laser, kinesiotape or acupuncture.

Heel and lower leg pain is usually from Achilles tendonitis. Why do we get this? Either inadequate stretching before exercise or your heel bone (the calcaneus) has slipped backwards from overstretched foot ligaments. So the Achilles tendon becomes chronically overstretched and painful. To correct we have to adjust the heel bone forward and give you exercises to tighten the ligaments while also doing kinesiotape and homeopathics.

Shoulder pain is very common and is often because the biceps tendon has come out of its groove so it can’t biomechanically function. We reset the tendon into the groove, adjust the arm bone and balance the muscles. Often there is immediate relief.

So, if you or your kids have knee pain, we can often correct it in one or two visits. We also use Kinesiotape to stabilize and retrain your muscles to a better balance. If you have neck or low b ack pain, you could have an impingement on the nerve roots coming from the spine. We treat this with adjusting the vertebra and the nerve root, followed with laser treatment to regenerate the nerves.

Some people have advanced injuries that cannot be repaired by balancing joints, nerves, muscles and organs. We have great doctors who do injections and can refer you if you need. So there is usually no need to suffer pain ongoingly. We can work with you as a team to resolve it or refer you to someone for injections.
