The American people are finally demanding changes that can reverse chronic disease, and finally it is changing!

The food we eat is not food anymore, it’s a “food-like” substance created in labs using chemicals to make fake food taste good. The pharmaceutical companies manipulate our taste and addictions. Scientists discovered that feeling full is partially due to how many times we chew. So they created chemicals to make food soft (like Twinkies) so we didn’t have to chew – and would keep EATING!

Many health gurus say they can reverse much of chronic disease in 6 months! We are talking about rampant diabetes, ADHD, anxiety, kids’ behavior disorders, depression and rampant learning disabilities (including vision, hearing, reading, writing and brain cognition). I believe them because in my 43 years of practice I have been lamenting the poor quality of our food and the excessive control the pharmaceutical industry has over federal agencies and our food supply.

CHOICE is a part of the American Dream and what is being proposed is to give us more choice in our healthcare decisions and our healthcare dollars.

When John F Kennedy was president, we were a much healthier nation. Much of the blame for that is due to the laxity over our food chain suppliers allowing them to self-regulate themselves.  This was the GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) provision in 1958. But it required investigation by the companies claiming it. In 1997, the FDA changed that so food companies could independently decide what was safe. No Testing. No notification to the FDA. They just said so!!!

That is finally being changed.

I have known ever since Naturopathic College (1984-1987 for me) that the dyes allowed in US foods (made from petroleum) were toxic and caused ADHD learning difficulties. I took people off the dyes and they got better. I have seen children after getting vaccinations have emotional and physical reactions on the autistic spectrum reverse after treating them immediately. I have studied research about fluoride and realized it was toxic (after recuperations from the brain-washing I was given in dental school).

Fluoride in very small amounts does make the crowns of teeth more decay-resistant, but its needed when the crowns of all the molars are forming deep in the child’s jaw (starts at birth, earliest completed at 4.5 yrs, all completed – including wisdom- by 12-16 years old).That gives parents and children the CHOICE to use fluoride. It is much less effective in the water supply and we have continual exposure and many toxic side effects to our whole population. As a dental hygienist, I used to paint fluoride on kids’ teeth after cleaning. It was very effective, and only a small, short-term exposure.

The top toxic problems are in our food supply are:

SEED OILS: Industrial processing using toxic processing of the oils from corn, soy, safflower, canola, cottonseed, grapeseed, sunflower and rice bran oil. “The hateful eight” are toxic because they are refined using Heat and Chemicals to create a neutral-tasting, shelf stable oil. These seed oils contribute to chronic disease like obesity and heart disease and are harmful due to pesticides and herbicides. Return to traditional fats like beef tallow.

They have high amounts of Omega-6 compared to Omega-3 oils, which ideally we eat in equal amounts. Due to excessive use in food supply, we now eat 15 times more Omega-6 oils, contributing to mood disorders, knee pain, back pain, menstrual pain and even preterm birth and colon cancer.

ULTRA-PROCESSED FOODS – Most fast foods and convenience foods, made from toxic chemicals and food “goop” to look like real food.

HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP  (HCFS) – Is a main contributor to obesity. The corn industry is subsidized so we pay to make it cheap, then pay again to eat it, then pay again with our poor health bills. More fattening than sugar.
